Vegan Dumpling Mania is where you learn to transform readily available Asian vegetables such as bamboo shoots, baby corn, cloud ear, water chestnuts, and more into vegan dumplings.  You will make wontons (using ready-made wrappers) as well the translucent dough from scratch for a steamed dumpling and a yum cha favorite, the spring onion pancake. Hands-on learning in a small group ensures everyone will receive abundant personal instruction. We feast on the dumplings matched to various sauces and accompanied by a soba noodle salad tossed with a ginger, lime, and sesame dressing. This workshop takes place inside the Made in Japan Homewares space, a warehouse showroom that provides an artisan ambiance and inspiration.

Transfer Policy  Provided you notify me 10 days prior to the date of the class, you may apply the ticket cost towards the next session of the workshop/class.  You may email me via the CONTACT page on dumplingmania.com; if you do not show up for the class, there will be no transfer or refund.

18 July 2018 • Vegan Dumpling Mania Workshop

This workshop was so wonderful! Lou is incredibly talented - not only at making delicious dumplings but also at welcoming everyone into her space. I had never made dumplings before this workshop and now I feel confident to have a go at home. It is also suited to those who just need to refine their recipes and skills. Thanks so much Lou!

18 July 2018 • Vegan Dumpling Mania Workshop

Charming space in South Melbourne - Lou and Liz were excellent hosts for the group of 7 of us! Plenty of hands on and practical tips, plus I loved the recipe print-outs all ready for us to take home. Making and cooking the dishes with clear instruction was easy and recipes were accessible - Lou and Liz made sure the plating was beautiful and we all got to sit and enjoy the results. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Lou ran an excellent workshop in a good venue. Participants had plenty of opportunity to cook and learn all the techniques to create and cook dumplings. Lou created a friendly & relaxed atmosphere. I'd recommend this workshop to anyone keen to expand their reportoire of vegan meals. Your non vegan friends will love eating these dumplings too. Thanks Lou :)
